WALPOLE, MA – A motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries Thursday morning in a wrong-way crash in central Norfolk County, reports WCVB 5 News.
Shortly after 7 a.m., emergency teams reported to the area of Winter Street and Vintage Farm Lane on the southwest side of Walpole. This is about 20 miles southwest of Boston.
Police say that an eastbound motorcycle and a westbound SUV collided head-on along Winter Street.
The motorcyclist, identified thus far as a man in his 20s, died after transport to a hospital in Brockton.
It’s not yet clear which driver caused the accident. Video footage taken at the scene indicates that both the SUV and the motorcycle sustained significant damage.
No other injuries have been referenced in connection to the wreck, and there’s no word thus far regarding charges.
