I visited the Cincinnati Personal Injury Attorney Blog and I found a great post by Anthony Castelli. The post discussed how a family had been injured severely in an auto accident following a rear-end collision.
The Anderson family was rear-ended by another vehicle on Christmas eve, 1993. Although is was a simple rear-end collision, the car the Anderson’s were driving at the time, a Chevy Malibu, burst into flames because GM skimped on basic and necessary safety features in the fuel tank of that model, that would have prevented the explosion. The occupants of that car were caused severe burns over a majority of their respective bodies.
This tragedy could have and should have been avoided by the brass at GM. Instead, they elected to sacrifice human safety for corporate gain.
