Massachusetts Senate Approves Hands-Free Cell Phone Driving Bill

Massachusetts Senate approves hands free cell phone driving ban

Kudos to the Massachusetts Senate for unanimously approving a bill that would require hands-free use of cell phones while operating a motor vehicle. This bill is essential and overdue given the high rate of car accidents that happen in Massachusetts. Specifically, this bill will help reduce distracted driving accidents which has plagued the Commonwealth for years.

The proposed law permits drivers only to swipe their phones to activate or deactivate hands-free mode on their mobile devices.
