The AP reports today that six London men became significantly injured while partaking in a drug trial for a new drug called TGN1412, a drug believed to treat Leukemia. The men were rushed to a local hospital after they suffered convulsions and organ failure after being administered the drug. Ironically, the trial was being run in London by a Massachusetts based company, Parexel International.
It would be interesting to see what kind of waiver the men were required to sign prior to participating in the study, which perhaps would or could insulate the relevant companies from liability for these personal injuries to the sex men.
